I will be sure to update you if I ever get anymore info from them!
And I agree (to a certain extent) that normally I would be the one contacting the company first. Not the other way around. But in this case, I had to contact them to find out if they ever even received my ssd when I shipped it back. Then again to find out why I still had no gotten notice of a replacement being shipped out. And several times again after that to find out that they were still out of stock and had no solid ETA on the replacement. A good company would have told me when I contacted them for a return merchandise number that the SSD's were out of stock and that they had no ETA. Instead they let me send it back, and then left me hanging for a response.

As far as the restocking fee goes, our customer service rep was simply following store policy found here. If you would like to further discuss your refund, we will be happy to do so outside of this forum to try and rectify this negative experience. We never want a customer to leave a transaction feeling unsatisfied.
If a drive arrives to a customer damaged we take it back at our cost and give that person a new working drive ASAP. RMA drives do have precedence over new orders as we ship on first-come-first-serve basis and they rightfully had their order in first.
In the case of RunCore SSDs, the restocking fee goes toward the shipping expenses we incur to send the drive back to China and having it diagnosed plus the shipping cost to get new drives in return. We assure you that the drives aren't just fixed in house and shipped back out. The fee is something that can be negotiated on a case by case basis but it is a necessary rule to try and protect ourselves as well.
We understand the frustration behind waiting for a drive and we make sure not charge anyone's credit card until the product leaves our office to make cancellations quick and easy if the wait is too long. The only exception to this is payments made by PayPal and even then we can cancel and refund those orders quickly.
That being said, we aren't opposed to negative feedback but the original poster is delving into their individual order which is something we try and avoid here as it's a violation of our forum rules. I will keep this thread up for a few days but please feel free to create another thread if you would like to keep this conversation going.
If anyone has any questions about their orders, please contact us via our website or private message your questions to MDD Colleen and she will help answer you to the best of her ability.
