We are expecting a large shipment of RunCore SSDs on Wednesday October 14th to arrive, this will include all RunCore Pro IV 50mm PCIe PATA SSDs. We will be able to take care of all existing orders and have active stock of the 32GB & 128GB.

Not according to the support guy this morning.

I pre-ordered a 128 GB model and chatted this morning. Yeah, didnt come in. 32 and 64 did. Apparently 128 will be "in the next week". Which is wonderful as I had hoped to upgrade my mini before I have to travel again the 25th. That is looking less likely.

MDD has a nice selection of hard to find merchandise for the Minis. Suggestions for the site:

* Invest in an update of your website design. Right now it feels cluttered and unprofessional. This site design might have been professional back in 1996, but its time for an update. This made me feel like this could be a risky transaction for me as this is very common for what i see in US-based fronts for hong kong or taiwan based operations of questionable merit.
* Build an updated about us page to reassure your customers. Put a picture of your building or warehouse. Some photos of people actually putting things in boxes and shipping them.
* Consider updating your communications strategies. Right now everything is consumer driven. You get a sales order and then have no way to check status without talking to a guy on chat. Simple order check page as part of my account as well as alerts/notifications when release/ship dates slip would go a long way towards making people feel more comfortable with the purchase experience.

We couldn't agree with you more. MyDigitalDiscount.com will be seeing a number of changes over the next couple months to make the shopping experience not only smoother but hopefully more enjoyable as well. We take customer feedback very seriously and all of the points you touched on above are already on our radar. We thank for you for taking the time to actually post your opinion and we encourage others to do the same because it helps us make sure we're not forgetting anything.

If anyone feels uncomfortable posting on the forum here, you can always PM me directly with site suggestions of any kind.

Sincerely,
MDD Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy, I really like the service and the real time chat feature is definitely a keeper. It was great to be able to log on this morning, ask a question and the person I talked to didnt have to refer me to some phone number or another support queue.

He pulled my order, checked on the status, and let me know what was happening.

When i looked up MDD online, there is very little out there where people are complaining about problems. In the modern internet, thats really a rarity and it made me feel a lot better about the transaction.

Look forward to this SSD, I have a full project guide coming together that includes the SSD as one of the components, look forward to sharing that here and linking back to MDD for the product.

Our number one goal is to give our customers a positive shopping experience and MyDellMini has been a huge help for us in trying to reach that goal by providing us a place to interact with all of the great board members here. There are a number of changes to be made and we will do our best to improve the site for customers all over the world. We're really excited to see the reaction to our new features and we should be rolling out some new ones as soon as next week.

That being said, your project guide sounds very intriguing. If you'd like to share anything on our forum here, that would be great. I'm sure a number of board members would like to check that out.

MDD Jeremy
