The computer never had OS X on it. I guess I did not make that clear in the original post. I added two sentences to the repost...you interpreted my background about my intent to buy the computer for my daughter in lieu of an Apple as meaning that I installed OSX on it. I did not. So where I intended to have it posted is where it should have been posted.
