    Even with Vista 32 bit the 11z excels

    Your 11z you mention " It can play mkv's beautifully"
    I've got the Dual Core, 4gb RAM, 320GB Hard Drive, Primary 6-cell battery and recently tried MKV play back using VLC and CCCP codec pack but had poor play back - unwatchable though audio was fine.

    Can you confirm what player & codec you used please?
