    hello,
    == WILL PAY $ FOR HELP===

    i came across this website, and it seems like you know a lot about the 1011 hackintosh.

    I am volunteering in Cambodia and recently updated to 10.6.4 without doing the NCI step before. As with so many others, I now am receiving the Kernel error during boot.

    My problem is that I don't have the original 10.6.2 disk and cannot get it anywhere here in Cambodia. Is there anyway i can get my computer back up and running? i don't care which version it runs. right now all i care about is to be able to access or move my files.

    p.s. i ran file vault on 10.6.2 (don't know if that makes any difference).

    i will gladly pay you if you can send instructions on what to do.

    help much needed and greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    Argh - I'm new to mac's and I followed gizmodo to hackintosh my new Dell Mini 10v. Worked great first time a few weeks ago and I've been happy. Along comes 10.6.3 and I didn't know about the NBI update required. So now I get KERNEL PANIC and cannot get to my files. I'm technical, but a mac newbie... How can I recovery my 10v or at least keep save my files? (I have no timemachine backup or anything)

    Hello,
    How would I install 10.6 on a 10v using an external USB DVD drive instead of a USB mem stick? Do I need to create netbookbootmaker and netbookinstaller DVD? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rick
