Thank you Masari for your videos. I found the shaking camera a little problematic, but that is just me. I too performed the two (2) USB Flash drive install on my Newly Refurbished Dell Mini 10v and now have a fully functional MacBook mini in Ice Blue.

Problems for me were the varied reports on using specific DellEFI version. I ended up using 1.1 to get it to boot properly. I was booting into a white screen with multiple grey with horizontal white lined Apples on the screen and not able to determine the proper login. I was only able to boot into Safe Mode (Hold Down the SHIFT key at power on until you get to the Grey Apple).

I used the Kext Helper Anguish recommended here as well as the "Voodoo" link in the original post. After two applications of DellEFI Version 1.1 I finally got the Sound to work.

My 10v does not come with Bluetooth so I am unable to verify that, but I have disabled the USB legacy for the wake from sleep fix.

I have ordered a 320GB 7200 RPM Seagate Momentus Drive from Newegg.com for $70 and will perform that installation after creating a disk image of this one. Now the 320GB HD is going into my MacBook and I am going to install the 250GB 7200 RPM Hitachi drive from there into the Dell mini 10v. I will have HD video of the entire process next weekend on YouTube.com for you all to review.

Great resources here to all you first-time viewers. Some expert help and wonderful teachings.

Peace out & Hack The Planet!!!

Any ideas on why Silverlight interprets the Atom processor as a PPC?

UPDATE: It works! The external hard drive worked seamlessly. I opted out of all the additional language support and printer drivers so install only took 15 minutes (16 GB SSD). I still need to run the DellEFI but so far so good.

UPDATE 2: Well, I booted into the OSX desktop and installed 1.25a, then I kept getting kernel panics. I re-installed OSX from scratch and will try 1.1. Glad that installation is only 15 minutes, I might be doing this a few times...

UPDATE 3: I am fine until I try and install either DellEFI 1.1 or 1.25a . I cannot reboot back into OSX after installing either of those. I have 1 GB RAM, SSD, and Bluetooth.
Having exactly the same issue here.

I did the following install. Restored OSX 10.5.0 from a retail DVD to my thumbdrive. Ran DellEFI Bootloader 3.2 (I have a 1gb version). Then installed OSX on my 10v (works like a charm). Then rebooted, ran OSX configuration (perfect). OSX comes up (perfect). Then when I run DellEFI 1.25 it gives a kernal panic right on reboot, with 1.1 it just stalls on the apple logo with the spinning circle under it.

Must have tried 15 times with different settings now... Any ideas?

I am noticing that I am running BIOSA00.

Safe-mode boot does not seem to work for me?

I am getting a message right before the kernal panic when using the 1.25 EFI (Hibernation image too old by 350 seconds)

Here a screenshot of the verbose output from the 1.1 EFI

I couldn't see the links either, but a search on YouTube with the following arguments "install mac os x dell mini 10v" yielded these two videos, which I assume Masari authored, since the YouTube username is masarijones.

Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5RagoVK4zE
Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQoGnASxZBE

Thank you for the videos Masari. I've been wanting to try the Mac OS X for a long time, but I could never bring myself to purchase an EFI-X boot processing unit and install it on my desktop. Now thanks to your videos, I've gained enough confidence to purchase a refurbished Mini 10v from the Dell Outlet and I will be giving this method a go.

Thanks for your hard work.
