| robby818, That's strange... try downloading syslinux and booting the computer from the usb. Use the -x option to boot into safe mode then reinstall DellEFI and reboot. Remove the usb drive before rebooting. |

Thanks for the advice. I think it may be a bluetooth issue. I decided to go back to XP for the time being. If I try OSX again I will try this. ![]() |

| If you think it was a bluetooth issue try disabling it from the BIOS and see if that corrects the problem. That will at least let you know if it was in fact the Bluetooth card. I ordered another 10v last week, this one will have bluetooth and the wireless N card. I'll probably shoot another video when I Hackintosh it... |

| Thx for the guide! I was consequently following your instructions (for three times until now), but unfortunately I have some trouble with the procedure. Booting the installer from the usb flash drive worked so far, but I wondered why I can't see as much of the windows as you do - except one or two times I haven't seen any buttons at the bottom at all; I practiced it by hit and try (and I'm quite familiar now how often I have to press the tab-button to go on )After the installation I get the message that the installation failed. But I can boot OSX from the HDD, anyway. But: - the resolution doesn't fit automatically as in your video. The 10v uses 640x480 and doesn't let me do any change on that. The only option in the system preferences is 640x480. - WiFi is not working, so I can't get any online-updates. - After executing Dell EFI 125 the 10v and restarting the system the OS X startup crashes. I only see the grey apple logo but OS X doesn't appear. What can I try now? Should the resolution be adjusted automatically and why is WiFi not working, anything wrong with my 10v? I have a OSX 10.5.0 dvd on my usb flash drive. Do I have to install any drivers for WiFi, graphic card, sound etc.? Edit: Ok, with the Dell EFI 125 even the setup assistant isn't starting from the usb flash drive anymore. It crashes after changing to the leopard-background. Now I really don't know what to do anymore. Has anybody any idea? Regards webbi |

| masari, Excellent How to video I have used your technique to the letter and are having an issue seeing any device that has the OSX image on it. I successfully loaded the image on to a 32GB thumb drive, all the files are there and it appears on the MAC desktop. But then booting with Syslinux USB drive I don't see the USB drive with the OSX image. The prompt I get says USE (UP ARROW DOWN ARROW) keys to select the startup volume hd(0,1) Press Enter to start up the foreign OS, I press enter and the process that the USB Syslinux drive did initially starts up again never gives me that second screen you get that allows you to choose the drive to boot from. It goes back to the "press enter to start up the forign OS" screen. So the next thing I did was to Try an external USB DVD drive to see if that might work. Just to see if the system recognized the drive I tired a XP install and it booted into that fine so I repeated the process with the same results as above. Any suggestions? |

| Also this error pops up for about a second before the chainbooter starts System configuration file /com.apple.boot.s/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.boot.plist not found It may not be exactly that because it flashes by so fast. ~MC |

| Wow masari, thanx for an excellent video tutorial!!! Wish i had found it sooner, like when i was hackintoshing my Mini 9 & encountered a bit of confusion, your video(s) would have been really helpful even though it's for a 10v (i notice that all the steps look practically the same as the ones i followed for the 9). i wish all video tutorials were as clear, complete, & easy to understand as yours. Boy, i think we at MyDellMini really have the BEST support of any of the other netbook hackintosh communities!
