I upgraded my MBP hard drive which already has all my applications and snow leopard installed. If I fit this back into the MBP and download the needed files onto the desktop, there should be no issues with installing this into the mini and using that HD, running the patches, etc? right? Or do we need a fresh install of Snow Leopard on for these updates to work?

I have tried to Install NBI multiple times following the guide Jacques has written. I am installing onto a separate 2.5 inch SATA, not the one that is included with the Mini 10v. NBM 0.8.2 installs fine on my MBPro and then I shut down and plug the USB drive into my Mini10v to test. Boots fine in the beginning and works (no Audio, wifi works, trackpad is jumpy). once I try to install NBI 0.8.2 I get a KP every time at "Generating Extensions" I have reinstalled SL twice onto the drive to start fresh and it happens every time. I can install all the NBI items except for Mini 10V extensions. I also tried to run NBI on my MBPro but it crashes and asks me if I want to send a report. I have downloaded NBI multiple times and tried a different download every time. What am I doing wrong that causes the KP? Any tips of suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

I followed all the steps used NBM 8.2 then the NBI 8.2 and 8.3. Everything worked great had SL running for over an hour, so I popped the drive into my 10v and then after only a few min KP. I tried running the NBIs again but I get KP before I can get them installed completely. Why would it work fine when i boot from the external USB but get KP when I install the HDD. Thank you guys in advance for your help.

Does it have to be an Intel Mac. Will it work with a G4 Mac?

| I was running SL for a month, everyday with no trouble ... ran a software update which I thought was okay but now I can't boot ... it just keeps recycling through the usual boot screens. Ran it once for 30 minutes with the start up screens recycling about every minute or two .. any ideas?

I too am having trouble with the latest updates, it took ages to get the download to take and I kept getting a message to turn off the machine and restart. If I do this it works fine and eventually I got the download to complete but now it won't actually do the final installation of the update and again gets most of the way and then crashes with the restart message. Once again on restart everything works fine. is there anything I can do(like taking out the drive and re installing SL on my Mac and doing all the updates on this befrore putting back in the mini), or should I just forget about the update as it is working really well without. Ideas??!!
