Hi
So my Dell Mini 10z (1012) arrived today before the cancel of my order (back to the original 10v I ordered minus their free upgrade to the 10z).

I have checked the specs and it looks as though this 1012 uses the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator X4500MHD rather than the 3150.

Does anyone know if this is compatible with OSX? Before I send it back? It does look like a better computer overall:

The intel N450 atom cpu includes the GMA 3150, the list dell gave you is probably wrong. In either case, neither graphics cards are supported.

how can i tell if dell has sent the wrong graphics card. this WAS an option in Australia about a week ago. I have noticed they have changed back to the 3150 on the web now, however when I enter my service tag this comes up. is there any way I can check? i havent used windows in a few years...

also, do you think there will be support/hack within the next few months for this set up? as it does seem a better computer. I got this at a very good price AU$390 (they sell at AU$500 normally) and i am a little reluctant to send it back until i know the likelyhood of future support (as in within the next 6months at least).

The 4500MHD is used in a different notebook line, such as the Inspiron 15. It is a feature of the Intel GM45, GE45 and GS45 chipset, none of which are in the 1012. It is NOT an "option" for the 1012 and never will be. The 1012's N450 processor includes the 3150HD graphics processor - always.

what a pain. so there is not much chance of GMA 3150 support for OSX then?
