Take a look at your logs to see what errors your getting if any. It certainly can work as it does for me. Make sure you got the correct version and if you aren't sure download and install it again. Then if you install it in /Extra/Mini10Ext run Update Extra.app from /Extra. If you use Kext Helper and install it in System/Library/Extensions you also want to run Update Extra.app from /Extra. Do a repair permissions with Disk Utility before you reboot. However, I've read elsewhere that when the cpu is running really low, there should be a little whine emitting from the the mini. I've tried throttling at all different speeds via cpu-i, but hear no whine—which is a good thing. But, how can I verify throttling is actually working or doing anything? Thanks! |

It isn't that some component of the CPU directly starts to make a sound. As such the frequency will be different for every computer. So if there isn't any sound its not an indication of anything. Be happy your machine is quiet. Mini2: Mini9, Black, 2G, 0.3 Webcam, Bluetooth, 32G RunCore, OS X/Win 7, internal PCI-e SHDC Reader Mini3: Mini10v.
