Default Can you update to 10.6.2 from 10.6.0? - 11-19-2009, 08:25 PM

I never updated to 10.6.1 but can I skip using NBI?

Not sure exactly what's being asked but you absolutely need NBI 0.8.3 RC4 to boot 10.6.2.

As long as if you run NBI 0.8.3 RC4 (making sure it installs the bootloader), you can update from any version to 10.6.2

I installed SL 10.6.0 from the DVD ran the combo 10.6.2 update than ran the NBI 0.8.3RC4, rebooted. working great

I did the same however something went wrong during the process. I am currently reinstalling SL 10.6. I may try to do it again tonight. I am sure this was user error. .0.8.3RC4 was supposed to make the transition easy and smooth, which is why I say this is my fault.

Default re-installing OSX - 12-07-2009, 03:48 PM

I upgraded snow leopard after the hack and now flash doesn't play and the sound went off.

I'd like to just reinstall my first version of OSX (10.6) but it doesn't give me the option to erase everything when I click on the hard drive during install. I can go to utilities and erase but I don't know if that will mess things up.

any advice?
