Yep. Still have that problem. I know I had it with my Mini 9 as well.

Okay, I can confirm that I'm also having the issues with muting headphones.

What I noticed, and I don't remember if it did it that way on the Mini 9, although it changed to show headphones, the type didn't change from "built-in device". May or may not be relevant, and I unfortunately don't have a Mini 9 to check with any more.

That said, I can live with the headphones not muting. Annoying for some, no doubt, and I'm willing to test any fixes, but I personally can live with it.

Instead of disabling the shortcut mapped to F7, could you remap that shortcut to different key? How many shortcuts do you have, if only a couple of them, could you try "restore to default" in shortcut menu?

Okay, another thought, I know three ways to inject audio custom strings:
1) DSDT.
2) HDAEnabler
3) EFI string in com.apple.Boot.plist.

Only one should enabled at a time. Please double check your EFI strings, and make sure there is no audio related in there.

Could you please post your Audio info in your system profiler? Mine likes this:

Does it make a difference if you use Netbook Installer or no?

Sorry, I have no clue. I didn't use Netbook Installer, nor DellEFI, I need a tri-boot system, so I installed my own way.

Any audio related strings in EFIstrings in com.apple.Boot.plist?
