I'm having trouble with nothing appearing in the Sound prefpane, even if I manually load the kexts. I'll reinstall the kexts and see if it helps.

Can someone please post a copy of their unmodified AppleHDA kext?

I'm having issues as well, but admittedly, I may be overlooking something. Will have to revisit tomorrow..

Which method did you use? Patching DSDT or HDAEnabler?

Just got it to work. Deleted everything, got a copy of stock kext from my desktop hackintosh (which is using the stock kext). I used the HDAEnabler method and it seems to be working fine now. If there's anything significantly better about patching the DSDT then tell me. I was having trouble figuring out how to patch it so I went with the extra kext. mrintegra, here is your kext.

Update: Mute does not seem to be working at all. I can just turn down the volume to zero, but the mute key or the prefpane can't mute audio. Overall though, this is fantastic. Great work.

Thanks for posting up the file. I deleted the VoodooHDA kext and installed all the new kexts using KextHelper. Audio (speakers, headphone jack), internal mic (tested w/ Skype), mute and sleep are all working fine now. I am still on 10.5.6 and I have the N280 processor (not that this would make a difference).

Rock on! It looks like everything works here now too.. I used the AppleHDA kext that herooftime posted, as well as the others that lnxneo posted, used kext helper to install them, bounced it, and boom, audio including internal mic. Rock on!
