Sorry Nick Gertz, I didn't realize some commands were not installed by default. Would you try it again using the attachment? Thanks,

hmm.. installed my 10.5.0 using netbookinstaller/netbookboot packages. updated to 10.5.7 using automatic update, reboot in safe mode, and used netbookinstaller to add extention and add system specific dsdt.aml file/fix bluetooth/enable remote cd as options. Reboot. Added all four files in this package using ktext helper; rebooted.

Only speaker has sound. The mic is not working. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Oh man, it's more complicated than I thought. You probably need to install xcode from the OSX installation disk.

Most likely you still have either VoodooHDA or patched AppleHDA installed somewhere, you need remove them first.

No problem, if you feel this will help the progress then i'm all for it.

I'll go ahead and install xcode and try running that script again.

It's a clean install and I never put VoodooHDA in. It's just install, update, and straight the 4 patches. Now I'm not sure if the netbookinstall does any audio patches, but I didn't see AppleHDA.ktext in system/library/extensions.

tks!
