haven't had too much time to play with this (too many other projects), anyway the kernel in BT4 Final is The Backtrack guys do a lot of customization on their kernels and I know I'm not the right guy to try and port those forward. Also, it looks like Ubuntu is still pushing out the 2.6.31 and since Bt is based on Ubuntu I don't see a easy way to go about it.

Since Piratesmack saw very high cpu usage, and upgrading the kernel in BT is a great way to break things I think for now we're better off sticking with the closed wl drivers or swapping the card.

If your determined to get your injection on I would say grab slackware, arch, or if your stup...i mean brave gentoo and build what you need.

Update: Getting fatal DMA errors with kernel 2.6.33, but no high CPU usage.
