I just got a new mini 1010 the other day, for $99 with the purchase of some lattitude machines I bought for work. I was really excited for it because I've always wanted an extra machine to play with a linux distro and learn more about them, and most of my previous experiences with them have not been so hot.
Anyway, I downloaded linux mint and booted via usb and installed it along side win 7. everything seemed to work fine, and after enabling some proprietary drivers, i had wireless working. I was excited, because this is pretty much the first time that wireless has worked for me at all on any linux distro. Finally a laptop I could actually USE with linux. Anyway, I ran the system updater tool in mint and it updated several items for about 20 minutes, and finished with no errors. After that, I shut it down for the night. Now when I boot it up it acts like no wireless device is available. Booting into windows 7 starter now gives me the same problem, shows no wireless networks are available, but yet in device manager the device shows as installed and working. I tried turning it on / off with the wifi switch on the keyboard, disabling and re-enabling in the device manager, and even uninstalling the drivers and rebooting and letting them reinstall. Still have the same problem. Anybody know what I can do from here to get my wireless working?
