Same problem... Doubt it's hardware, was working fine before I updated to 10.04 on my dell mini 9 (actually, installed 10.04 right after having my hard drive replaced by dell, updated the day I got it back)... If anyone has any ideas on this, workarounds, etc, that would be greatly appreciated.
Anyway, details of my problem (also posted here [ubuntu netbook remix] Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix on Dell Mini 9 - Battery life left reported incorrectly - Ubuntu Forums ):
Hope someone can help with this... Just installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04 on my dell mini 9 and now after I unplug the AC adapter I instantly get a 'battery power is critically low' message and my laptop suspends... Example of charge vs. time left: 59% charge = 1 minute battery life. Very weird.
Seems like when I start up the netbook without plugging it in the battery life mumbo jumbo is detected correctly. Strange.
Any ideas? You will be my hero if you can help "
