I can't get it to USB. Use the USB Creator in the iso file and all I can see is blinking cursor!

Default Kubuntu on Dell Mini 10v - 06-02-2010, 07:56 AM

I tried Kubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04 on my Dell Mini 10v as I like kmail, korganiser, digikam etc. very much.

It was even a little slower that Win 7 Home Premium on the Dell Mini 10v.

KDE is way too heavy for the little machine. I am looking into running Lubuntu/Peppermint OS now.

I agree with Paul. I tried the latest version of KNR and it is beautiful (almost completely graphical and very pretty). However, it is also a bear on resources and a battery killer on the 1012. By and large I've found this to be the case with every distro I've tried running the latest version of KDE. It's a beautiful desktop, but the resource use is just to heavy for a net book.

Anyone tried Netrunner 2 - Blacklight yet? I have it running on my 10V and it doesn't seem to bog at all.
