Default Mint Linux - Sound - 01-03-2009, 01:29 PM

Hi all,

I finally found a Linux distro that is pleasing to look at. Its called mint Linux and looks pretty good on the mini. question is the sound doesnt work out of the box, everything else seems too. Its based off of Ubuntu and im a linux n00b so anyone know how to get sound enabled in ubuntu?

Yes Linux Mint works great on the mini!

Follow this guide here, at the end of the guide is the fix for the sound: ... -mini.html

Great link! I followed this guide and sound is enabled, but I find the speakers hiss at higher volume settings, and sound is not that loud. Also, has anyone had luck tweaking the microphone settings to work better in Skype or other VOIP/chat applications?
