Default Remote Desktop: Accessing Ubuntu from Snow Leopard? - 01-29-2010, 11:46 PM

So I'm quite new to Linux and I've got Ubuntu 9.10 installed on my PS3. Anyway, I've been scouring the net for info on this and have finally just gave up and decided to ask here.

I've got Apple Remote Desktop on my Mac, and i'd love to be able to access Ubuntu on my PS3 from my Mac via Apple Remote Desktop. After all my reading, I'm still not sure if this is even possible, some claim it is, others claim it isn't, and most of the info is sooo old.

The PS3 shows up in my Finder sidebar, and the "Share Screen" option is there, but when I click it, it begins to load and gives me a progress bar, but just never actually progresses. I've enabled Remote Desktop on the PS3 and I even get a little notification in Ubuntu that "Another user is connected via Remote Desktop" or something, but I just can't get it to work.

Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance,
