Default Question about loading bluetooth - 06-27-2009, 04:26 PM

Hey quick question about BlueTooth. When i installed OSX with the Dellefi method, i decided to not set up bluetooth.I followed this: "USB BIOS Legacy Support" Enabled and set BlueTooth to Disabled.

Now: I'd like to set up Bluetooth. Do i just enter setup on a reboot, with 2, and disable "USB BIOS Legacy Support" and enable BlueTooth? Is it that simple?

Thanks for anyone with any help.

I believe that in addition to turning it on in setup (and turn USB legacy off so you can still use sleep) you'll also want to re-create the dstl file. So run DellEFI twice, first time choose custom and only pick remove dstl, reboot, run DellEFI again, custom, create dstl file, reboot. Then you should have BT, check system prefs to be sure.

Ok now I'm starting to figure things out. I bought my mini 9 through the outlet, and I don't think the internal module was part of the package.

So, I just picked up a USB bluetooth module. OSX picks it up fine, it recognizes my iphone with the code, but then it won't stay connected. If i click connect on the iPhone it connects on the mini 9 for 2 seconds and then disconnects.

Anybody else have a similar problem? any advice?

Thank you so much! I'd love to figure this out..

EDIT: OK nevermind, restarted my iPhone now it works like a charm!! I love it.
