Default CCC not recognizing SSD: IGNORE THREAD - 06-25-2009, 12:53 AM

I made 2 partitions on a USB drive. On one I installed Dellminiboot and Syslinux so that it would be bootable. On the other I backed up/cloned the SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner. Everything went fine and I can boot from the USB/backup.
But when I tested to see if I could restore the backup to the SSD, CCC could not recognize the SSD as the Target drive. CCC could recognize the SSD only as an option for the Source drive. When I choose the USB drive as the Source, then when choosing the Target drive CCC only shows me the 2 partitions on the USB drive to chose from. The SSD is not shown.
Can anyone explain why this should happen?

If I run Disk Utility the SSD and the USB drives are shown.

EDIT: I realized that although I chose to boot up from the USB, it actually booted from the SSD. I still have to learn how to properly boot from the USB.
