I use OO.o on my Windows machines at work, and on my Mac Mini at home, where I have plenty of space on my HDs. On my HacBook Mini9 I want to be able to open those files, but I don't need the drawing or database (or a few other) components.

I want to use the Writer and Calc components of OO.o only.

The full (396MB) suite is all I can install from the standard download. I really don't want all that SSD space taken up by the components I won't use.

Anybody know how to pare down the install to only the components I want?

Either way, it looks like a partial install, even if it's possible and stable, won't save you much room.

It looks like your two best choices are to eat the 400 Mb HD footprint or to use something lighter weight.
