It is a utility designed for a Macbook Air (with no CD/DVD drive.) It allows you to put a cd/dvd into either a Mac or PC computer, and the have it show up on your macbook air just like the drive was part of your Air computer.
This requires two parts, first of all to enable it on your air (or Dell mini in our case). Then you need to enable it on your mac under system pref, or install the program on your PC.
It works great. Mind you this is designed to load programs from cd/dvd, not to watch movies/play music with.

P.s. Don't let the update part fool you, I installed this on my pc and it works, even if you don't have another version already installed. (Since my leopard disc is older it did not come with the pc program.)

Wow, thanx meklort & Richdmoore! That DEFINITELY sounds like something that would be very handy since there is no CD/DVD player on the Mini 9. i'm sure that would be something quite useful for me.
