Very true, but you never know for sure until you restart.
I didn't mean to come off as if I was committing some great sacrifice, rather to let others know these updates were available incase they needed the extra functionality they offer, and to try and curtail any, "Is it safe," or , " Has any tried this yet," posts.
Sorry if I came off as pompous with the guinea pig reference, I am sure others had already updated with no issues to report, and so they did not post.
