There are some error about tar gzip that cannot execute and then the Extensions.mkext resource temporarilly unavailable.

Those errors really dont matter, assuming you are running this after you installed os x (from the install dvd).

I'm not sure why you didn't get the correct resolution.

Also, I can always include a modified kextd that will allow kextcache to work immediately, although I don't think it's needed since it should only be run post install.

Maybe I don't have the latest version of your application... Have you uploaded the latest one?

I will try a full installation of the OS and then a manual run of NetbookInstaller to see if all work fine. I might have basterdised my install when I tried to update to 10.5.7 and it failed.

I will post back in 20 minutes.

I belive the latest version is there. If not, I just updated it: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/863180...stallerCLI.zip

I''m also trying it with a fresh install again (using a falsh drive made with the DellEFIBootMaker)

Also, what version of the install dvd are you using?
I have the 10.5.6 dvd on my flash drive.

Looks like there is a bug when you have a space in the install destination. I'll see if I can fix it.

Same DVD version here. I am booting from the fresh install as I write this. Crossing fingers...

Here is what I am noting:

-I am seeing a bunch of Sound Assertion error while booting...
-OK, video resolution is fine. No video playing at startup... could it be because of the audio issue? I see you are using VooDooHDA...
-Trackpas is much much slower that the original drivers
-Wireless is working fine

I am now booted!

VoodooHDA isn't included in that package. Unless if I really have to, It wont be. It *may* be included in the boot make, but only for that initial boot.

I know I'm installing something wrong with the audio drivers (AppleHDA), and I still need to figure out what it is.

The video only plays when the system detect that there is sound, otherwise it skips it.

OK, I have packaged your installer. For now it will put NetbookInstaller in the /Application folder on the volume selected by the user. The post install script then call the application and pass the volume location as an argument.

This should make for a nice package installer that can hopefully be added to the OSInstall.mpkg

I have not tried it yet... I am going to give it a try.

I was thinking that we *dont* install the NetbootkInstallerCLI to the install partition. The boot maker can just install it to the boot flash drive, and then the package can run it from there.

There really is no reason to include it in the final install as it really isn't worth much after the install (and probably will confuse people), that's what the gui version is for.

It still is cleaner to have one packege that does it all. I have changed the solution. I temporarilly install the app to /tmp of destination volume, execute the app and then finally delete the application from /tmp.

This is working just fine on my end.

EDIT:

Why don't you use the <volume>/tmp for your temp files instead of the ramdisk? This way all is gone after the reboot anyway.
