Will you send a couple stickers to Japan? I can pay enough for your trouble.
I had a spare keyboard so I switched both keys to the "right click" key instead of the Windows key but still just a little ugly. . .

How did you pop the keys off? Did you get your lid laser cut? What type of place did you go to make the sticker?

Do you have the image file for the "apple logo" and "command key?"

Is there a way to swap the fn and control key in mac os x? I've looked into remapping the keyboard but no success

Hi all - the first round (everyone who sent me a paypal payment) of decals are going out today. Please remember they are decals, and not stickers - just put them in some water for 30 seconds or so then slide them off the backing onto the key and let it dry. Again, they are fairly brittle before you get them wet so please be careful.

If anybody wants these but doesn't have paypal you can email me and I'll send you my address and you can just mail me a buck and we can do it that way. I have plenty left - I will put up a post once the supply starts getting low.

Here is the image file I printed - feel free to use this however you want. I don't upload a lot of files and photobucket wouldn't take this image without dumbing it down so hopefully this link works.

Command Key

To answer a few more questions - OCONUS shipping seems to be about 1 dollar, so 2 bucks should cover just about anywhere. Please just make sure you include a good address with your paypal payment. I am happy to ship overseas.

To swap the keys I took off the keyboard and used a tiny flathead screwdriver to simply pry them off - if you do this just try to get in the spot between the bottom of the key and the white post that it clips on to - if you can see it - if you can't see it then just slide it along the bottom of the key from the front until you get some thing and then just wiggle it and hope for the best.
I didn't swap the function and control keys because I use control a lot with my pinky and it is just a good spot for it. I don't think it is possible to remap something like the function key either...if somebody knows how to do this I would be interested to hear it. Ukelele is a cool program to make new keyboard maps but even that won't change command/alt/cntrl keys let alone the function key.

My lid is not laser cut - I did it all by hand - started with a dremel, got close with a couple of tiny files, and finished it with some sandpaper. I sanded the whole back and sprayed it with Krylon Fusion and it looks great - just a bit of texture and no big fingerprint smudges anymore.

The keyboard decals are printed on waterslide decal paper by a laser printer. The MacBook mini sticker I just did at home using my inkjet printer on some metallic sticker paper and then laminated it.
