Default Safari 4 on Mini 9 - 06-12-2009, 07:10 AM

Has anyone tried it? And what specs are you running?

I had the beta and it ran slow... specifically... web video was jumpy. Not sure if the final version is better.

The release version is surprisingly smooth. I've had a lot less jumpy video performance with 4.0 release than with 3 or 4 beta.

I'm running a pretty slim system: 1 Gb mem and a stock drive.

I've had no issues with slowness with 4 beta, but then I don't really watch that much video online. I can't tell you hwo 4 final runs since I haven't upgraded to 10.5.7 yet because I finally have my machine running the way I want it to, and I don't have the time to risk ballsing it up right now, maybe after the summer or so.

Safari 4 final runs pretty smooth on my 10v (10.5.7, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD), nothing to complain about here.

Safari 4 running fine. I think it's an improvement over previous. Seems smoother. Install was simple, just like on my iMac.

I've had no issues at all w/ the final release. I ran the beta on my Macbook Pro for several months, and the transition to the final release was like night and day. On my Mini 9, it's great.

Safari 4 final runs much better than the beta. I had to disable cashes with the beta to make it run smoothly. I haven't had to do that with the final version. I'd recommend the upgrade!

runs good on mine too. I also installed cooliris add on, and it seems faster and smoother than firefox. It loads faster too. I've decided to use this as my main internet browser
