Dell Mini 9 Boot. Is this normal? - 06-10-2009, 10:36 PM
Info about my Mini:
I installed OSX using an external DVD drive. I followed the instructions from mechdrew found here.
My Dell Mini 9, has a 32gb SSD (stock) and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.
The Problem: Every time I boot I see a screen that has a blue status bar, and then it goes on to the gray screen with the Apple logo and then it freezes. After a hard reset, I get the same intermediate screen with a blue status bar and then it goes to the gray screen with the apple logo. Then the spinning gear comes up and everything works fine (well fine, except for meklort's touchpad drivers). I don't think this is normal, but then again I don't know exactly what a "normal" hacked mini is supposed to do.
Because this is hard to explain, I made a video to show the process on. Here is the link.
Thanks for the help.

Boy, that goes to show how observant I'm not.
Is that the Chameleon bootloader?
Try downloading DelEFI 1.1 & running it. Reinstall the PCEFIV9 Bootloader & see if that helps.
