I will be the first to say that in the event it doesn't work on the mini (highly doubtful) that I am fully satisfied with 10.5.7, it just works.

It seems on snow leopard main system files been modified to real 64bit.
I also think that Mini9 will NOT be able to handle the new os from Apple in September.

Wrong! Snow Leopard should work fine if we get the bootloader working with it.

Both 32 bit and 64 bit modes are supported, OS wide. The OS will ship with Universal Binaries that support both (Instead of the PPC/Intel UBs we have now, 1st party apps will have 32 and 64 bit Intel binaries)

As long as it works with Dell Mini9 then I'll upgrade to SL, since I bought retail Leopard from Apple & upgrade will be only $29.

Thanks for pointing out my wrong impression about the SL and 64bit.
Those new features demonstrated by Apple VPs are bit heavy for Mini9, I think.

The SL code is supposed to be lighter and cleaner...thus may be a speed improvement on the Mini 9 as well as a space saver.

No guarantees, but that is what it sounds like.

I'm hoping for the best!

The question in my mind is whether or not the "upgrade" disk will work on the Mini9 (or any Hackintosh, for that matter). You might find that, like with the retail installation method for Leopard, you need a full-install version to make it go on properly.

The forum just chooses not to support OEM disks, but depending on the install method you use, OEM disks (and the Leopard Drop-In DVD -- which is essentially an upgrade disk) work just fine.
