My A90 Vostro arrived Thursday - and I was jazzed!



Unfortunately, I had to wait until my RunCore and Mac Box Set arrived. Once both were here earlier this afternoon, I swiftly retired to the man cave (office-garage) and began to follow lantzn's guide to Install Mac OS X on a RunCore drive from a Mac.

Unfortunately, Patches spied me entering the man cave and decided she was a higher priority:





After a short cat nap, she let me go back to work!

I am pleased to report that Mac OS X installed nicely on the RunCore, and was updated to 10.5.7. I chose to install the DELL EFI 1.2a5 Alpha Release shortly thereafter. This was a fun and flawless install; my very first Hackintosh!

The Vostro A90 is one snappy machine running OS X. I love it!

looks great i wish i got the vostro instead of the mini 9, black is much nicer overall

have you or are you planning to stick on the apple sticker over the dell on the lcd bezel?

Hi there! No plans to mod the cover or bezel, no. I fancy the DELL insignias actually - and when I show folks my desktop background and they notice the OS X menu bar and dock, the look of surprise is worth it.

Now, if there ever becomes a way to light up that logo like the apple ones do, I'd be tempted!
