I had debated buying a netbook as soon as I had enabled tethering on my iPhone but had eventually put it on a back burner. I was checking Techbargains on Black Friday and they had a Dell mini deal with a link to the Gizmodo article on running OSX. That was the first I had heard of it but I ended up buying a new 10v 250GB with Windows 7 and a Mini 9 with Ubuntu. The 10v arrived first so it got hacked. I kinda feel bad now because while my intention upon purchase was to hackintosh it, it worked really well with Windows 7. I didn't realize beforehand that all the quirks weren't solved (like wake from sleep) and I already have two MacBooks so I really didn't need another. My original intention was to play with it so had I intended on leaving Windows on it, I wouldn't have bought it but it's a capable little machine that ran Windows 7 better than my Mac through Parallels VM. I just don't know enough to tweak it correctly and it seems like every time I try to fix something I'm stuck for hours repeating the same Windows install steps. I assumed it would be more like jailbreaking and unlocking my iPhone with Blackra1n. Just run a program and you're set. More options? Just check Cydia, Rock or Ice. Now I'm kinda scared of the netbook. I want to try and install Linux in addition to the 7/OSX and clean up chameleon but I think I need some time away from this thing.
