Default question about dell efi method? - 06-05-2009, 03:12 AM

I've ordered my copy of os x leopard and downloaded the dell mini boot ISO to a windows PC and burned my ISO CD with CDBURNERXP. Now I am reading through the subsequent instructions, but I am confused about step 5.

When it says you should have burned this to a flash drive, I don't know whether I can do this on the windows PC (no mac yet). The dell efi file is a zip file, do I unzip it on the windows PC and then copy the folder contents to the flash drive? Or will the mac not be able to recognize a flash drive and files copied from windows?

Sorry to be dumb, but its been ten years since I've used a MAC, and I don't know if I am interpreting the directions correctly.

When these instructions 1st came out, the DellEFI was burned to a CD, so you ought to be good to go. The USB portion came later.

Dell mini 9, 2GB RAM, 32GB RunCore SSD, OS X (10.6.7)
