Default Confused: Dell Mini9 suffer same resolution issues as Mini10v? - 06-03-2009, 04:35 AM

Did the Mini 9 suffer the same resolution problems as the newer 10v that I'm reading about? The published stats for the 9 have a 1024x600 same as the 10v but several people have written saying buttons and text and a few app issues exist for the 10v.

Sort of. The Mini 9 has 1024x600, the Mini 10v has 1024x576. Apparently the 24 pixel difference messes things up a bit more, but I haven't had too much trouble with my Mini 9 so I think it is more on the 10v side where issues are happening.

So is Dell lying/misrepresenting the resolution of the 10v on their website as 1024x600 instead of the true 1024x576? If so they should correct it.

What I don't understand is that it's a BIGGER SCREEN. I guess screen manufacturers just don't MAKE 1120x630 pixel (or whatever) screens...

According to some DCSE material I was reading on the 10v, they will eventually offer it with a 1024x600 resolution display. Unfortunately, they are so interested in getting things out to market, that they don't stop to wait for what the consumer wants.

Either way, I'm not complaining with my 10v. The keyboard alone was worth it.
