| Junior Member Posts: 19 Join Date: May 2009 | I have used it and it does work. It tends to be pretty slow.. so I wouldn't count on using it to play movies or music real time. It works great however to install drivers, software, or copy files. Here is a link.. MacBook Air: How to use Remote Disc to share DVDs or CDs on a Mac- or Windows-based computer I didn't need to put a Macbook Air disk in.. just had to enable, "DVD or CD Sharing" on my iMac and then clicked on "Remote Disk" on the the Mini 9's finder window. I selected, "Ask for permission" when setting up sharing on the iMac.. so I hit 'Yes' on the iMac after the request to share was sent by the Mini 9. After that.. insert/share any CD/DVD... it takes a while to pop up/load/change folders - But works well. |
