I ran into the following problem: 1) while completing the Advanced 3: Customizing the installer @ Guide Advanced 3 | DellEFI | mechdrew , I got all the way up to the point where I was recompressing the .mpkg file using the xar -c -f command as instructed. 2) the command seemed to hang and did not complete even after 20 minutes or so. Activity monitor had xar using alot of CPU and terminal did not respond with a prompt. I attempted this step several times. My question is thus.... How long should the xar recompress process take? As I have a 16 Gb SSD in the Dell, can I uninstall these options later if I can't successfully modify the .mpkg ? thanks. under a bit of a time crunch and figured I'd PM mechdrew and post my query here. |
