Before I get flamed, I searched the forums and could not find an answer that I could understand to this problem.
I am trying to install OSX on my mini. I used the new "Method 1: Single USB Drive (Mac-only)" instructions with the following hardware/software:
Dell Mini9 with 2GB RAM and 8GB STEC
SSD disk
external USB 40GB disk drive
Retail OSX 10.5.0 install DVD
DellEFIBootMaker_0.3.3
DellEFI_1.2_alpha_5
I created the image on the external USB drive and ran DellEFIBootMaker app, then copied DellEFI1.2a5 app to the USB drive. This all seemed to work fine.
When I try to boot from the USB drive, it hangs after:
"AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: initilization complete"
and then I get a repeating:
"Still waiting for root device"
I booted with the -x -v options, and I can get to the install screen, but that's not how it should work.
Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.
