I had those lock ups under OSX with a defective harddisk on another machine. If not only the OS acts weird but also the BIOS you should check your SSD.

The weird thing is, sometimes it does work, and sometimes it doesn't. I do remember that before I updated to the new trackpad drivers, I had to upgrade to DellEFI 1.1, and the problem started occurring. Previously I had to press '0' after sleep, otherwise I would get a string of zero's. Now, there are no more zero's but it just mostly freezes. Very annoying, as the only way to get rid of it is too do the vulcan nerve pinch.
