Ian I believe you are right. It was definitely a mistake to try and put the admin's home folder on my SD card (I'm a noob). I have to reinstall leopard (which seems to be giving me trouble using various methods for some reason), but when I do admin account will definitely be going on the SSD
. I'll make another accounts to see if I can get the home folder on the SD card (just for kicks).
So I have to do a re-install of leopard (did an improper upgrade to 10.5.7, I'm kinda of a noob). I've tried using mechdrews singly usb key method as well as the gizmodo method. Neither work.
In the case of mechdrew's method I'm Getting the following error when running dellEFIBootMAKER0.3.2:
"Could not install the bootloader. Error 1"
Then I get another dialogue box saying
"OSXDVD install completed"
My mini 9 won't boot from my usb key and I get the following error
I've also tried using the 0.3.3 version of the bootmaker and I get the same error messages. I've searched this thread and no one else seems to be having the same problem. Any idea what is going on?
When I try the gizmodo method and I select OSXDVD from the bootloader on my mini nothing happens. I'm following instructions to a T for both methods and am getting discouraged.
I'm using a retail 10.5 leopard install disc for the usb key and my mini 9 has 1gb of RAM
