As I understand it, Type 11 isn't even supported any more. I'm not sure why so many still use it. DellEFI 1.1 is pretty stable. I haven't had any issues with it.

Honestly, the Type11 method should not even be published any longer (in my opinion)... or it should have a huge warning at the top in big red letters letting people know it is out-of-date.
This is the same method Gizmodo uses, so maybe people see their guide and then use Type11 because of that... either way, I would upgrade to the DellEFI method. Much more stable, functional and is actively worked on...
