I followed the steps below and everything seemed to be going fine until the last reboot (after the 1st run of DeelEfi). Now I get stuck at a Blue Screen. I have tried rebooting several times both trying safe mode (-x) and without safe mode.
Nothing seems to get me out of this Blue Screen (). I'm not even able to boot from my external Disk (OS X 10.5.6 DVD).
Please help.

Thanks so much, you guys saved me once again. I followed the following method posted above by jabbadabbadoo, having to reboot into safe mode 3-4 times (it didn't always go in) but now 10.5.7 is working fine after persistently running the 1.2a EFI over and over (3 times in all). Gotta luv it, big Dell mini 9 updated to the most recent OSx and all! LOL!!!

Just updated to 10.5.7 and it works! thanks to conq for the step-by-step guide.

I downloaded the combo update, the installation took around 12min. Then during reboot (actually during shutdown), it froze. After 5min, I forced it to power down (hold the power button for a few seconds). During the first startup it got stuck (grey screen with apple), but rebooted itself after 5min or so, and the 2nd time it managed to boot into safe mode (I pressed "Shift" both times). I ran DellEfi 1.2a5 with the following options only:
- Reinstall DM9 extensions
- Remove custom dsdt.aml file
- Disable hibernate
- Fix bluetooth
After the update with DellEfi, reboot again into safe mode. This time, run DellEfi (yes, again!) with the options
- Generate dsdt.dml
- Fix bluetooth (not sure this option is required for the 2nd time also).
Finally, reboot a 3rd / 4th time, without holding Shift to not get into Safe mode again -- and, [drums] -- we're in 10.5.7.

One small correction, not being able to boot from external Disk was because I had Legacy USB support disabled in BIOS, this is working after I re-enabled it.
Blue screen issue remains, please help.
