FYI- I NEVER install the delta (the update via the software update that is usually smaller in size compared to the Combo) on my macs. The Combo update installs all previous updates (10.5.1->10.5.6 in 10.5.7Combo). And thanks to those with tips to get the 10.5.7 installed! |

Hey all, Did the same, updated straight from the updater, rebooted got the grey screen with lines. Followed the conq instructions (reboot in safe, run DellEFI, reboot, run DellEFI again) and bang done!! =) Thanks all for your help!! One thing that i stuffed up on, was using an old version of DellEFI, as soon as i used the 1.1 it worked. |

I reinstalled the extension and removed the custom dsdt.aml file and rebooted but I'm hanging at the blue screen |

Gents, I hopped on here after not paying attention, and accidentally updating to Mac OS X 10.5.7 while trying to update Safari (yes, quite stupid). I saw conq's instructions, and started them. I got into safe mode the first time, logged in, and ran DellEFI 1.1. Great. I then rebooted, and attempted to enter safe mode again (for the second part of this). However, after the Gray apple screen, I'm getting an all blue screen, and nothing else. I've restarted a few times, tested both safe mode and normal boot (hey, what the heck...), but I always get a plain blue screen with nothing on it. The brightness keys affect brightness, but beyond that, nothing. I'm not sure what could be occurring, but perhaps someone else has seen this and knows a fix, before I go about restoring from a backup? |

Followed conq's instructions and it worked like a champ. To get into the boot mode, I just held down both the -x keys until the boot screen showed up. ran the conq's process and then reran aboutthismac (osx86tools) and two finger scrolling and monolingual |

In case this helps someone else through the graphic problem, conq's solution only worked for me after I ENABLED legacy USB support in the BIOS prior to boot. (Thank you, conq!~!~) |
