I encountered the graphics bug as well. Conq's instructions from page 3 of this thread did the trick, though. Many thanks!

Edit: I did have to re-install meklort's touchpad driver.

Used the Software Update and followed the below and bingo...


Here's what you need to do.
Download the installer, don't use Software Update. Install 10.5.7, in my case i downloaded the Combo.
Let it reboot.
At the boot screen use the -x to enter Safe Mode.
After in Safe Mode run DellEFI.
Reinstall the Mini 9 Extensions and remove custom dsdt.aml file.
Reboot.
At the boot screen use the -x to enter Safe Mode.
After in Safe Mode run DellEFI.
Install custom dsdt.aml file.
Reboot.

and all works lovely!

I did use Software Update when I did it to mine last night after I restored (before Conq's post came to light). The first time I tried it I did the combo updater. Either one will definitely work.

Hi everyone,
I got the solution für my problem with the chameleon Bootloader in "quiet mode". Here we go:

1. Boot, press and hold SHIFT, this wil bring you to the "Safe Mode"; you'll see it at the login prompt.
2. Start DellEFI, reinstall Extensions and remove custom dsdt.aml file.
3. Reboot (in normal mode).
4. Start DellEFI and install custom dsdt.aml file.


Worked for me with DellEFI 1.2a5 and Chameleon 2.0RC1-r431 Bootloader

Please, I still need help with how to delete an existing DSDT file and then how to re-create it. Is the DSDT file created automatically during the DellEFI install?

I just want to make sure I know EXACTLY what to do before I try upgrading my OSX

You do not need to manually delete the file DellEFI will do this for you...

I have OSX on my SSD, with only 1Gb free. The delta upgrade wants 1.2Gb or so free.... any tips? I have Xslimmed, Monolingualed the drive...
