I have no problems installing OS X on a Mini 9. I've done it successfully several times.
The way I was doing it was using a flash drive to hold the Minibooter and a External Hard Drive to hold the OS X image file. My External Hard Drive enclosure stopped working, so now I want to use a portable hard drive. I've used another person's portable Hard drive before, so I know it'll work on mines.
What I want to know, is how can I format the portable hard drive so I can boot the Mac OS X image file off it, AND still be able to store my own date, such as music, videos, applications etc.?
I tried with my 1TB External Hard Drive, by first formatting it using TransMac with the OS X file and then using the built in tool with Vista to make a new Windows compatible partition. No such luck.
Is it possible to maintain usability with a portable hard drive? Or is it impossible once is TransmMaced? I assume a Mac can read data stored on it, because its formatted in a Mac friendly format?
Thanks in advance for the help.
