Default OSX SSD tuning partition alignment and prefetching - 05-10-2009, 11:46 PM

I had OSX installed on my SSD and i was having alot of spinning wheels and lockups. I went back to windows and it ran without any lockups but the ssd seemed slow. After doing some research, windows ran normally only after I disabled prefetching and removed indexing/disabled windows indexing software. Windows will also experience improvement after doing SSD alignment . Seems like dell has SSD alignment on the Factory windows partition and I can see the first factory diagnostic partition aligned but after ghosting the image back to the drive the 2nd partition doesnt look right . (i havent figured out the process to rebuild this yet)

Can we make the same SSD tweaks on OSX?
