Dell Mini 9 Unbox and Leopard Install video - 11-10-2008, 09:19 PM
After a month of waiting my Dell finally came in. I spent saturday installing it (Darkten's method) and shot a video to show how easy it is. I had never done it before and the video shows unsealing the box, plugging in an Xbox 360 HD DVD USB drive, and installing Leopard.
I posted it on my blog this morning. The youtube video quality sucks so I also uploaded it HD to vimeo, but it's still processing.. Will be added in about 30 min.
I also posted my notes about the install. The mistakes I made along the way and what is working and not for me. Check it out...

Nice that someone who does a blog finally did an install on a Mini9 that didn't involve the damn MSIWind image.. That UneasySilence post just won't go away, and is SO WRONG..
Anyways.. About the Type11 method vs Darkten.. You seem to think they are hugely different.. They aren't, the Darkten method actually uses an older version of Boot132, while the Type11 uses a newer version. That's about all that's really different. If Apple ever releases an update that requires updating Boot132, people running Darkten's method are going to be up the creek.. Also, I don't think he is doing updates anymore, Type11 seems to update and improve his install CD and the drivers that are included with it about once a week or more. I think he's done 4 updates or more since Darkten disappeared.
But hey, at least you used one of the better methods to install. I hope your blog gains quite a bit of notoriety.
