So I just bought a family pack of 10.6 with plans to install it on our macs at home and to give this guide a whirl on my mini 9. I see the guide only refers to 10.5 and I understand that may be due to the fact that it was written before snow leopard came out. Can anybody confirm that this method will work fine with a 10.6 retail disc? I have a runcore 32gb ready and waiting to go. Thanks.

Yes it does work. Search my posts and find my guide on getting 10.6.1 installed via Runcore for more info.

Default Sound loss, sound fix - 03-21-2010, 06:34 AM

My DM9 has worked flawlessly for so many months now. This is the FIRST issue I've had with it and considering what it goes through that's pretty amazing! It's used mainly by my wife (not tech savvy), my daughter and her 2 sons daily over many, many hours. The DM9 does not get ANY Apple Software updates (that sys pref is shut off) because I figure if it's not broke, don't break it.
Everything, WiFi, Videocam, keyboard, trackpad all work fine and now sound again.

Read about the sound issue and fix here.
