I'm sorry for bringing this back if theres a rule against it but I thought I might let people know my success solvign this problem, so...if anyone else has this issue, which I had when I got onto the bus for a week long trio, and I was freaking out, I found a quick fix that doesnt involve reinstalling. I honestly have no idea what is actually wrong, or if my fix is even close to legit, but I just ran the command "fsck_hfs -r /dev/disk0s2" and it booted up fine. I havent tested this more, but when I do I'll update you guys.
Update: It looks like that its a temporary fix, and it doesnt run process heavy programs, but safari and ichat work. so just boot into -s and type in fsck_hfs -r /dev/disk0s2, and then hard restart your computer, and itll boot fine. I have no idea what im doing but it works lol
