Give me about 20 minutes I will build an updated uninstall for V17 and V18. Also make sure you uninstall V17 before installing V18. Do it in the following order.

Uninstall V17 DO NOT RESTART, Install V18 RESTART.

The v18 uninstaller and v18.2 installer both worked flawlessly and my touchpad is acting normally for once. Thanks!

CHAZ B,

After you uninstalled V17 and installed V18.2 what do you find in the system preferences under OTHER --2 panes or 1 and what does it say-- I find only the old TRACKPAD, and no evidence that 18.2 has been installed.

When I uninstalled v18 the Trackpad item in System Preferences was removed and it was replaced with a new one when I installed v18.2.

V18 works like a charm for me.

so much better. I also had two versions - synaptics and trackpad.
now I only have trackpad and my trackpad works like it's supposed to.
I was honestly about to return my Mini 10 for a refund...
