I messed it up either... After installing 10.5.7 I wanted to give this installer a try. To be totally safe I first run the deinstaller. Then I did a reboot! <--- FAULT !!!

Now I am also stuck with NO keyboard action

I assume I should have run the installer right away, without rebooting first....

Safe mode does NOT help, still without keyboard control!

I will try to find a usb keyboard to see if this will work.... *arrrrrghhh*

I have heard of this happening to some people after installing 10.5.7 It seems that a usb keyboard will work. If you can't get that let me know I have a couple more ideas.

After the 10.5.7 update you need to re-install the touchpad driver. To avoid problems remove the driver and then immediately install it. Then reboot.
All ok here. I'm so happy.

External USB keyboard and mouse DO work, luckily

Unfortunately in my case the installer runs smoothly through the complete steps, but does NOT install the pref pane!? I did run it several times and rebooted. No pref pane.

Dellefi 1.25a
Admin (of course)

Any ideas? Thanks!

Do your mini keyboard and mouse work again? I am not sure I havent used Dellefi 1.2 at all. I would delete the dsdt.aml file reboot then start up in safe mode -x and reinstall dellefi extentions and custom aml file then do the trackpad scripts.

Keyboard and trackpad are working again. With the help of the USB mouse and keyboard I could reinstall the DellEfi.

I also used the terminal method to reinstall the meklort touchpad drivers. That worked fine.

What version of Dellefi did you use?
